Job Overview
Lead the comprehensive islandwide planning, design, and development initiatives for Sentosa's built environment, aligning with Sentosa Development Corporation's strategic objectives. The role encompasses the entire process from initial concept creation to tangible implementation, enhancing the island's unique character and visitor experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate innovative design concepts, conduct research, develop content narratives, and perform feasibility assessments to keep SDC's design strategies progressive within the industry.
- Engage with stakeholders regularly to collect feedback and coordinate projects effectively.
- Create Design Briefs and Urban Design Guidelines to direct planning and development activities.
- Collaborate extensively with governmental agencies, SDC's partners, consultants, and contractors throughout all project phases from inception to completion, ensuring integrated design management.
- Prepare approval documentation, including specifications and technical drawings, facilitating regulatory clearances.
- Oversee and coordinate tenancy works, involving land preparation, marketing efforts, and design oversight, all within a holistic visitor experience framework.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Possess strong creative design abilities and demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.
- Be a proactive self-starter and collaborative team player.
- Demonstrate competency in Design Thinking methodologies.
- Maintain enthusiasm for continuous learning and stay informed about evolving design trends and tools, including proficiency in AI applications for visualization and animation.
- Exhibit excellent presentation and communication abilities.
- Manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines.
- Be a Registered Qualified Person with the Singapore Board of Architects.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Architecture; a Master's degree or higher qualification is advantageous.
- Degrees in Urban Design or Planning are also considered relevant.
- Have proficiency in software including AutoCAD, SketchUp with real-time rendering, Photoshop, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office suite; video editing skills are also required.
- Knowledge of AI architectural rendering tools, BIM, and Revit software is a plus.
Additional Information
This position is offered on a three-year contractual basis, with the possibility for renewal. Only candidates shortlisted will be informed.
