Role Overview
The Demand Planner plays a critical role in sourcing and introducing product lines tailored to the requirements of Toters Trade's wholesale customers. This position ensures product availability aligns with customer demand, optimizes inventory levels, and collaborates closely with suppliers to foster business expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze B2B customer demand patterns, wholesale market dynamics, and competitor activities.
- Execute timely and accurate ordering to maintain product availability that satisfies demand.
- Forecast product demand to achieve inventory optimization.
- Interpret sales data and market insights to detect trends and enhance forecasting accuracy.
- Design and implement exit plans for underperforming products.
- Build and maintain reliable relationships with suppliers to secure improved pricing and service quality.
- Optimize the product range and stock levels to balance availability with profitability.
- Coordinate with the Commercial team on pricing strategies and promotional campaigns.
- Collaborate with Warehouse, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure seamless product supply.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in demand planning or forecasting roles.
- Preference for candidates with backgrounds in FMCG, wholesale, retail, or food distribution sectors.
- Strong comprehension of inventory control methods and standard operating procedures.
- Proficient mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
