Data Engineer - Remote - Snowflake & Azure Specialist

CogentHubCX.AI is seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to join their expanding technology department. The role entails working remotely, focusing on delivering efficient and scalable data engineering solutions leveraging Snowflake, Azure services, Python, and modern data practices. The company offers solutions integrating data and technology to empower clients in achieving strategic business advantages through outsourcing and management consulting.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and manage complete data pipelines using Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, and Python to support data ingestion and transformation.
• Create and fine-tune SQL queries, data models in Snowflake, and DBT-based transformation workflows.
• Carry out Snowflake administrative tasks such as managing users and roles, warehouse capacity sizing, monitoring resource utilization, and enforcing access permissions.
• Develop Azure Functions to handle event-driven and scheduled data processes efficiently.
• Utilize Azure Event Hubs for real-time streaming data ingestion and processing.
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines via Git to streamline data engineering deployments.
• Work collaboratively with engineering and analytics teams to resolve data pipeline challenges.
• Document data systems architecture, operational workflows, and industry best practices thoroughly.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 6 years of practical experience as a Data Engineer.
• Proven expertise with Snowflake including data modeling, performance enhancement, and management.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Familiarity with Azure Functions.
• Knowledge of Git and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Understanding of SOLID design principles in software development.
• Capability to independently handle projects from initiation to completion.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Snowflake administrative capabilities.
• Experience using Azure Event Hubs.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Experience with DBT for data transformation.
• Knowledge of .NET Framework and C# programming.
• Background working with contemporary cloud data platforms.
