About the Role
This position is tasked with uncovering business intelligence and advancing improvement initiatives via statistical, exploratory, and advanced data analytics. The chosen candidate will develop, automate, and maintain analytical tools to monitor operational and network performance, enabling tangible enhancements on the ground. A key requirement is the ability to translate complex data sets into actionable insights benefitting both business and network operations.
Key Duties
- Extract, merge, and analyze operational and performance data to produce impactful insights.
- Drive the design of scalable and repeatable data reporting pipelines within the Operations domain.
- Develop, automate, and sustain recurring dashboards and reports tailored for stakeholders including senior management.
- Maintain reporting schedules, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process documentation.
- Create and uphold governance documents ensuring data integrity, audit preparedness, and compliance adherence.
- Lead Global Benchmarking for MSN, supplying insights and executive summaries for senior leadership.
- Enhance audit methodology to improve data precision and operational workflows with ad hoc and thorough analyses to address evolving business needs.
- Plan and document new reporting solutions including scope and implementation strategies.
- Perform advanced analytics on operational and network data to detect trends and suggest improvements.
- Employ statistical and mathematical models to generate insights supporting network and operational decisions.
- Initiate and lead data-driven projects independently across processes.
Required Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of Telecom or IT Service Operations and applied mathematics/statistics.
- Expertise in data exploration, storytelling with data, and strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with ITIL, eTOM, and TM Forum (ANO) process frameworks.
- A minimum of six years as a senior data analyst within Telecom or IT Service Operations.
- Preferably holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics or Statistics.
Desirable Skills
- Proficiency in Python for automation and data analysis tools.
- Experience with VBA for automating reports.
- Hands-on familiarity with advanced Excel functionalities, Power BI, SAP BI, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Tableau.
Performance Expectations
- Within the initial 3 months: Acquire domain knowledge, integrate into the team culture, and start contributing to data-driven enhancements.
- By 6 months: Continuously improve analytical deliverables and provide consistent insights suitable for stakeholders.
- At 12 months: Independently analyze data, generate actionable insights, communicate results effectively, and manage stakeholder interactions.
