Role Purpose

The Cycle Counter position is vital for ensuring inventory accuracy and reducing product loss within the distribution center. This role involves performing detailed cycle counts, examining inventory discrepancies, and implementing effective measures to improve inventory control.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out precise cycle counts of inventory items, covering all picking and reserve locations.
• Identify and investigate inventory inconsistencies including out-of-balance situations and product condition issues.
• Analyze root causes behind inventory differences, such as errors in receiving, storage, or product damage.
• Maintain oversight of inventory levels to spot potential issues early.
• Ensure all inventory transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
• Assist in enforcing inventory control standards and best practices.
• Conduct quality inspections of items that are date-sensitive, slow-moving, or obsolete.
• Monitor and manage First-In-First-Out (FIFO) rotation practices.
• Perform data analysis on inventory trends and generate reports to inform improvements.
• Handle inventory transfers and necessary adjustments.
• Support product recall procedures whenever necessary.

Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic data analysis to interpret inventory trends.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with effective interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent analytical skills to resolve discrepancies and troubleshoot related issues.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a related inventory or warehouse function.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to stand, walk, operate computer keyboard, mouse, and communicate using telephone.
• Often sits and reaches with hands and arms.
• Frequently lifts or moves up to 40 pounds; occasionally lifts between 41 and 50 pounds; rarely lifts weights between 51 and 100 pounds.
• Must have specific vision capabilities including near and distance vision.

Additional Information

• Travel required up to 25% of the time.
• Competitive salary offered, ranging from $36,300 to $68,100.
