About the Role
Starbucks is seeking a seasoned Creative Project Manager to lead and coordinate complex creative projects and initiatives within the Creative Studio. This role requires close collaboration with creative teams and internal business partners to ensure project success from inception through delivery. The successful candidate will exhibit strong strategic thinking, adaptability, and excellent communication skills while embodying Starbucks' mission and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement strategic approaches to projects based on established briefs and objectives.
- Partner with business stakeholders throughout the creative lifecycle, from project kickoff to final delivery.
- Develop and maintain trusting relationships with business partners, facilitating clear communication and strategic alignment with creative leadership at all approval stages.
- Manage projects utilizing and influencing project, program, and account management methodologies.
- Lead complex, often global, cross-functional projects and teams for enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Effectively manage multiple concurrent and multifaceted projects with varying deadlines.
- Recognize linkages among projects to inspire consistent, brand-enhancing creative solutions.
- Adapt swiftly to evolving business priorities and Studio objectives.
- Foster strong partnerships across the Studio and beyond, representing the organization positively in collaborative settings.
- Communicate clearly and strategically with all stakeholders.
- Promote a respectful, inclusive, and productive workplace culture within the Creative Studio, including mentoring team members and collaborating on best practices.
Desired Qualifications
- Proven ability to operate independently and thrive in ambiguous environments requiring flexibility and responsiveness to change.
- Strong interpersonal, diplomatic, and negotiation skills to influence and gain alignment across various internal teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in creative project and account management, leading complex cross-functional projects involving multiple organizational levels.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with concise delivery.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in creative agency roles coupled with 5 years in large, matrixed enterprise environments.
- At least 3 years managing creative projects covering all aspects such as scope, scheduling, budgeting, risk, quality, integration, procurement, human resources, and communications.
- Experience leading large-scale or several mid-sized creative projects for 3 or more years.
- Two or more years mentoring and developing teams.
- Two or more years working within large, matrixed organizations or creative agencies.
