The role combines editorial excellence with content operations, AI workflow development, and digital growth strategy objectives. Primary Responsibilities
- Design and implement Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and AI Optimization (AIO) approaches to boost visibility on AI-driven search platforms.
- Track brand presence, citation metrics, and AI search platform visibility, converting findings into tangible content enhancements.
- Create and sustain AI-assisted content workflows using tools like Claude or similar AI platforms for drafting, editing, tagging, and updating content.
- Define quality benchmarks, conduct reviews, and establish checkpoints ensuring AI-generated content is precise, consistent, and adheres to brand guidelines.
- Oversee content refresh cycles to maintain relevance, performance, and discoverability of current content assets.
- Recruit, coordinate, and manage freelance writers, agencies, video contributors, and AI agents involved in content creation.
- Develop detailed content briefs, outlines, and editorial guidelines for contributors.
- Proofread, edit, and verify content quality prior to publication, ensuring clarity and high editorial standards.
- Mentor writers by offering actionable feedback to continually uplift content quality.
- Support initiatives to grow digital community presence including active participation in relevant online groups.
- Collaborate with marketing and content stakeholders to align on strategy, research, topics, formats, and content priorities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Claude or comparable AI tools to build and optimize content workflows.
- Strong practical understanding of AEO, GEO, and AIO concepts and their influence on digital content exposure.
- Excellent writing, proofreading, editing, and content quality assurance abilities.
- Prior experience creating B2B SaaS content or involvement in technology-centric content environments.
- Solid grasp of SEO principles, keyword research, and content optimization techniques.
- Proficiency with SEO and analytics tools such as Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics.
- Experience managing external contributors like freelance writers, agencies, contractors, or AI-supported content producers.
- Robust project management capabilities to prioritize work and meet deadlines autonomously.
- Effective coaching skills with the ability to deliver constructive feedback and uphold editorial excellence.
- Strong communication skills enabling smooth collaboration across cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with WordPress, content management systems, AI visibility tools, technical SEO audits, Screaming Frog, SurferSEO, or similar platforms is advantageous.
- Preference for candidates with prior experience in fast-paced environments developing AI-centric content operations.
