Role overview
EY is looking for a motivated Consultant to join its Business Consulting team. This opportunity suits someone who enjoys enabling change, solving complex problems, and delivering meaningful outcomes for clients. The position is based in Ōtautahi Christchurch and involves regular travel to client locations to support transformation work.
Key responsibilities
- Use analytical and problem-solving abilities to break down complicated business issues and turn them into practical solutions.
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams to shape, deliver, and embed transformation programmes.
- Develop trusted working relationships with clients and colleagues while contributing to strong project results.
- Perform effectively in a fast-moving environment that values innovation, ongoing improvement, and continuous learning.
- Help deliver a broad mix of projects and client engagements across different sectors.
- Support work that creates positive outcomes for clients, communities, and organisations.
Skills and experience
- Interest or experience in understanding business problems and designing value-oriented solutions.
- A curious mindset, adaptability, and willingness to keep developing professionally.
- Confidence working in changing or unfamiliar settings while handling multiple priorities.
- Background contributing to project design, delivery, or transformation work.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills with the ability to work across varied stakeholders.
- Ability to form and sustain collaborative, trusted relationships.
- A degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems, Finance, Supply Chain, Economics, Political Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile, Design Thinking, Change Management, Project Management, or enterprise architecture methods is an advantage.
