Construction Project Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Construction Project Engineer to join our Venue Technical Services team for a major international football tournament held in Saudi Arabia. The role emphasizes project engineering, technical coordination, and ensuring venue infrastructure readiness across multiple competition venues, rather than direct construction management.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical services and infrastructure readiness activities at tournament venues.
• Collaborate closely with consultants, contractors, stadium operators, and internal teams to meet tournament operational needs through infrastructure support.
• Monitor progress related to construction, venue milestones, and infrastructure deliverables against project timelines.
• Organize technical meetings, on-site inspections, walkthroughs, and readiness evaluations.
• Track and manage action plans, risks, dependencies, and unresolved issues with prompt follow-up and resolution.
• Examine engineering documentation, technical reports, construction updates, and project outputs for correctness and completeness.
• Facilitate coordination of permanent infrastructure upgrades, remedial actions, and venue enhancement initiatives as necessary.
• Work with contractors and stakeholders to ensure safe, timely, and quality-compliant delivery of works.
• Prepare project reports, dashboards, and progress updates for leadership review.
• Support venue testing, commissioning, and operational readiness exercises preceding the tournament.
• Coordinate infrastructure interfaces with venue operations, technology, broadcast, security, transport, and other functional departments.
• Escalate technical challenges, project risks, and delays while assisting in mitigation and recovery measures.
• Assist with venue handover, snag lists, close-out documents, and final readiness inspections.
