Job Overview

As a Milk Bar Nomad Classroom Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating an outstanding guest experience during all classes and events by fostering a positive atmosphere that leaves every participant delighted. This position combines the responsibilities of a Milk Bar ambassador, demonstration instructor, and host, focusing on delivering engaging baking classes to both public and private audiences.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a full variety of public baking classes and private event sessions.
• Prepare all necessary materials and mise-en-place before classes, ensuring freshness and readiness of ingredients, and handle post-class cleanup and organization.
• Collaborate with other departments to develop and maintain efficient organizational systems.
• Support product ordering processes, verify incoming orders, maintain merchandise inventory, and coordinate with commissary staff.
• Complete and submit end-of-class and event communication logs promptly.
• Maintain the cleanliness and order of the classroom space, including washing utensils and prepping the space for subsequent events, providing daily upkeep as needed.
• Engage and captivate guests to ensure they have an excellent class experience.
• Assist the Classes team by completing side work checklists during slower periods, prioritizing guest experience at all times.
• Perform Nomad Classes’ side tasks such as preparing frosting and cake crumbs.
• Fully embrace and represent the Milk Bar ethos by embodying its core values, promoting its brand internally and externally, and inspiring celebration.

Requirements

• Comfortable and experienced in entertaining and instructing groups of participants.
• Knowledge of baking techniques, tools, and equipment is advantageous.
• Ability to establish relationships and adapt to change effectively.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail in all tasks.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends.
• Reliable in-person attendance is essential to fulfillment of job duties.
