Role Overview

As a classroom assistant, you will be assigned to support classes lasting from 1 to 2 hours at various schools and community sites throughout Washington, DC. These assignments typically span terms lasting 6 to 18 weeks.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the lead instructor to create an effective and engaging classroom environment.
• Maintain punctuality by arriving on time or earlier to your assigned sessions.
• Contribute to making each class a memorable and positive experience for the children.

Candidate Profile

• Capable of nurturing a positive classroom community and fostering strong student relationships.
• Passionate about teaching children and committed to personal growth and learning.
• Flexible, cooperative, and supportive team member.
• Possess a dedicated work ethic with a proactive, can-do attitude.
• Provide at least two professional references.

• Successful candidates will be onboarded onto our platform to begin accepting classroom assignments.

Assistants in our network are compensated on a per-class basis, with most classes lasting approximately one hour. This engagement operates on a contracted, supplemental 1099 basis.
