The system consolidates multiple camera and on-robot video streams into a unified live, metric memory of indoor spaces—a persistent 3D scene graph accessible via conversational queries that return spatial locations, distances, and paths. It operates locally on NVIDIA edge computing hardware using TensorRT foundation models, ensuring no data leaves the premises. Currently, the primary application is for large-scale logistics, with a platform architecture designed to be adaptable to any building.

The critical technical components—including calibration, live metric fusion, cross-view object association, scene graph creation, query planning, and navigation—are actively implemented on real hardware. The system's architecture is crafted by a founder with senior expertise in 3D robotics perception at a prominent AI platform. The upcoming funding round aims to expand the team and develop the product further. Comprehensive architectural and product details will be shared under non-disclosure agreements during discussions.

Role Overview

The Chief Technology Officer will transition the existing working system from the current prototype to a scalable, reliable, building-agnostic product that can be deployed repeatedly and safely in diverse environments. Responsibilities include building and leading the engineering team necessary to scale production and having ownership over the technical roadmap in partnership with the founder. This role demands taking end-to-end responsibility for production realities and technical strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage the full technical roadmap, evolving the current rig-dependent system into a broadly applicable production product.
Oversee the edge runtime environment, including deployment of TensorRT/BF16 engines, GPU-accelerated preprocessing, real-time scheduling, and multi-camera input processing within strict per-frame time budgets.
Manage the model-to-engine transition pipeline: migrating from PyTorch to ONNX to TensorRT, implementing benchmarking protocols and accuracy validation before deployment.
Lead field-level calibration and integration tasks, including multi-camera and robot alignment, drift detection, and on-site recalibration across unprepared floors.
Architect the navigation and safety framework, providing robotic interfaces via ROS 2 with a design principle that safety-critical functions like braking should never be brokered.
Deliver on-premises deployment capabilities that ensure privacy (no cloud involvement), rapid installation with day-level setup times, and tooling that simplifies building adaptation.
Establish rigorous engineering standards encompassing continuous integration, testing, reproducibility, release management, and compliance with safety protocols essential for real robot operations.
Build and lead the founding technical team by defining required skills, recruiting initial hires, raising team standards, and serving as the lead technical advocate during investor and customer engagements.

Candidate Profile

Over a decade of experience in engineering and research leadership roles (or equivalent responsibility), including senior technical positions or CTO/VP Engineering status in early-stage enterprises.
Proven track record of developing and operating a real-time perception, robotics, or autonomy system deployed in real-world scenarios rather than solely research environments.
Expertise in edge inference deployment involving TensorRT, ONNX, BF16 or quantized runtimes, Jetson or similar edge hardware, GPU processing pipelines, and strict real-time performance constraints.
Strong proficiency in multi-view geometry, SLAM, sensor fusion, including full ownership of calibration and cross-view association integrations.
Experience with ROS 2, robot system integration, and engineering safety-critical real-time systems.
Demonstrated ability to hire and lead high-caliber engineering teams effectively.
Advanced degree in Robotics, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent extensive experience at a senior technical level.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous CTO or founding engineer role in robotics, perception, or autonomy startup environments; experience with a successful company exit as a technical founder.
Experience working within leading-tier perception or robotics organizations such as NVIDIA, Skydio, Waymo, Boston Dynamics, or similar.
Hands-on involvement in deploying foundation model inference at the edge covering tasks like depth estimation, detection, segmentation, visual language modeling, or embeddings using TensorRT.
Exposure to warehouse automation, autonomous mobile robots, industrial robotics, or production ROS 2 navigation systems.
Holding patents relevant to the technology domain is advantageous.

Compensation and Equity

Significant equity stake as a co-founder with standard vesting schedules including cliffs and acceleration agreements.
A modest monthly cash stipend initially, transitioning to market-rate compensation following institutional funding closure.
Opportunity to participate as a founder in subsequent fundraising rounds.
