Role Overview
We are seeking a Catering Sales Manager to join us full-time on-site at METT Singapore. This role entails spearheading catering and event sales initiatives by identifying new client prospects, addressing inquiries, crafting proposals, and conducting site visits. The manager will collaborate closely with clients to conceive event ideas and coordinate efforts between the food and beverage alongside operations teams to ensure seamless execution of corporate functions, social gatherings, and meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage catering and event sales activities including prospecting new customers and responding to requests.
- Oversee event planning and coordination from concept development to on-site execution, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Maintain comprehensive records within sales management systems and analyze event performance metrics.
- Foster long-lasting client relationships aimed at securing repeat business.
- Prepare revenue forecasts and assist marketing campaigns to promote catering services.
- Ensure service quality aligns with METT Singapore’s standards for guest experience.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in catering sales combined with food and beverage operational knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability in end-to-end event planning, including meetings, banquets, and social functions.
- Strong customer service orientation emphasizing relationship building and prompt issue resolution.
- Previous hospitality sales experience, preferably within hotels or event venues.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication abilities in English; skills in additional languages are beneficial.
- Capability to multitask and meet deadlines in a dynamic setting, working on-site in Singapore.
- Familiarity with CRM or other sales software and proficiency in standard office applications.
- Educational background including a diploma or degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related disciplines, or equivalent practical experience.
