About the Role
The Business Intelligence Analyst at Qatar Airways will deliver both quantitative and qualitative analyses on consumer behavior, brand performance, and business metrics. Their scope covers functions such as retail operations, store performance, vendor profitability, inventory management, and warehouse analytics. Through maintaining databases and business intelligence tools in coordination with IT, the analyst generates and reviews sales and promotion reports across various timeframes. They also engage in transitioning analytics to AX Dynamics R3 and Power BI platforms by assisting with restructuring and maintenance of reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, produce, and interpret Power BI analytical reports and dashboards on daily, weekly, monthly, and annual bases, measuring key performance indicators (KPIs) against budgets, historical data, passenger flow, inventory trends, and other factors to inform decision-making.
- Regularly collaborate with business stakeholders such as Category and Operational Managers, as well as Marketing teams to identify reporting needs and refine existing reports to support sales operations.
- Work closely with the IT department to ensure reporting tools and developments align with the evolving BI framework and analytics structure.
- Perform gap analyses and root cause investigations to uncover factors impacting sales trends and fluctuations; provide actionable recommendations to management.
- Analyze consumer behavior, customer profiles, store and brand performance via mystery shopper programs, and market surveys to identify trends, segment profitability, opportunities for improvement, and growth strategies.
- Evaluate promotional campaigns by assessing outcomes versus targets and KPIs; communicate critical insights and suggest enhancements to boost sales performance.
- Address and resolve Power BI reporting glitches by cooperating with technical teams to guarantee data accuracy and dependable database management.
- Support strategic planning by delivering accurate historical performance data and analysis to enhance forecasting and business planning.
About You
- Possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
- Have at least three years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience working with Management/Business Information Systems (MIS/BIS).
- Proficient in Business Intelligence tools, including Microsoft Power BI and MS Report.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Competent in monitoring business performance and KPIs.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication and presentation abilities.
