Role overview

Etihad is hiring multiple Business Development Analysts to join the regional Steering and Business Development Management teams. The position focuses on improving the performance of the B2B sales channel across a designated group of markets, working in close partnership with local sales leaders, frontline sales teams, HQ, Revenue Management, Commercial Enablement and other stakeholders to improve RASK and maximize high-quality revenue.

Key accountabilities

  • Use analytical methods, processes and systems to strengthen the review of sales strategies and actions, including incentive and commission plans, corporate agreement economics, private fare structures and related programmes.
  • Track and maintain a record of major sales initiatives, then assess their effect on market share, revenue performance and incremental revenue estimates.
  • Support sales planning activities and help ensure country plans are completed in line with global standards and guidelines.
  • Assist with the upkeep of sales CRM systems, sales tools and underlying data sources, with a focus on quality and reliability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve RASK and overall revenue quality through data-led analysis.
  • Monitor markets and competitors across all relevant segments and channels for the assigned portfolio, highlighting risks, opportunities and the drivers behind performance.
  • Help develop action plans for the markets under your responsibility.
  • Share useful market intelligence regularly between local teams and headquarters.
  • Build strong working relationships with local sales leadership, frontline sales, revenue management and other internal stakeholders.

Qualifications and experience

  • A university degree in a relevant field is required.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a related area is expected.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across cultures are important.
