About the Role and Team
This position is with Cisco Capital’s Global Business Process Management team, whose mission is to accelerate sales and provide innovative, market-leading customer solutions. The team enjoys working collaboratively, engaging with business leaders, and providing strategic insights to senior management. Candidates will work closely with sales, credit, finance, operations, tax, and accounting teams to develop data-driven opportunities by understanding data needs and challenges and by advancing analytical capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead moderately complex to advanced projects related to Cisco Capital’s Global Connect Applications, embedding strong data governance and analytics frameworks into business processes.
- Apply Agile practices to gather requirements, coordinate with IT developers, and deliver enhanced operational system functionality.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive business requirements documentation, process maps, testing plans, and user education materials, ensuring clear communication across stakeholders and developers.
- Develop and execute test cases through sprint cycles and final acceptance testing to ensure quality deliverables align with schedules.
- Uphold data accuracy by implementing data policies, managing data catalogs and glossaries, and serving as a subject matter expert to maintain consistent data definitions across departments.
- Translate complex business inquiries into actionable analytical requirements using SQL and visualization software such as Power BI or Tableau to guide operational decisions.
- Design accessible data models and conduct training sessions to empower users with self-service analytics capabilities.
- Collaborate with IT to assess and introduce AI-driven enhancements, including natural language data searches and automatic data classification, to enhance platform efficiency and AI readiness.
- Work closely with leadership to create long-term enablement strategies and develop project roadmaps aligning tools, systems, and processes.
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of five years’ relevant experience with at least two years in project, functional, or team leadership roles.
- Demonstrated expertise with Finance Receivable platforms (e.g., InfoLease, Oracle Lease Management) and thorough knowledge of data governance practices.
- Skillful in querying and managing data from multiple sources.
- Proven success working within Agile frameworks and delivering impactful cross-functional projects on time or earlier.
- Strong analytical abilities including problem-solving through detailed data investigation and identifying anomalies.
- Excellent skills in documentation, including business requirements, process descriptions, and training content creation.
- Effective collaboration and influence skills to drive stakeholder consensus between business, IT, and engineering teams.
- Comfort with leading training sessions in both virtual and live environments to improve system and tool usage.
- Experience working with AI-powered analytical tools and understanding how data quality affects AI model performance.
- Initiative to understand business contexts for identifying process enhancements and data standardization opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in SQL for manipulating and analyzing data.
- Experience using data visualization platforms such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Knowledge of databases including Oracle, SQL Server, and Microsoft Access.
- Familiarity with SAP Business Objects reporting tools.
- Solid understanding of principles around data quality, security, privacy, and metadata management.
- Awareness of data cataloging and lineage methodologies.
Additional Information
The role cannot sponsor visas and is restricted to locations on the U.S. East Coast excluding NYC Metro Area, Massachusetts, Virginia, DC, and Maryland. Finance organization members typically follow a hybrid work style with two onsite days weekly, except as limited by exceptions.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary ranges from $93,500 to $125,500 annually depending on location and candidate credentials. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k) with company contribution, paid parental leave, disability insurance, life insurance, flexible vacation policies, paid holidays, sick leave, wellness days, volunteer time off, and potential equity awards. Bonuses are available based on performance and role type. Sales team members enjoy additional incentive payouts based on revenue achievement tiers.
