Position Overview

We are seeking a Bioinformatics Scientist for a contract role offering remote work with flexible weekly hours ranging from 10 to 40. The hourly compensation for this position is between $90 and $120. This opportunity involves working with complex medicinal chemistry datasets to advance AI model development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough analysis of intricate datasets associated with medicinal chemistry employing sophisticated bioinformatics techniques.
• Provide detailed scientific contributions supporting the creation and training of artificial intelligence models.
• Manage data curation, annotation, and validation processes pertinent to drug discovery and molecular studies.
• Integrate and interpret results from biological, chemical, and clinical data sources effectively.
• Act as a subject matter expert in experimental design and data interpretation within medicinal chemistry spheres.
• Evaluate AI-derived outcomes to ensure their scientific validity, relevance, and dependability.
• Compose detailed written feedback and actionable suggestions aimed at enhancing model performance.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess an advanced academic degree such as a PhD or MSc in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Medicinal Chemistry, or closely related fields.
• Possess comprehensive understanding of medicinal chemistry, including structure-activity relationships and principles of drug design.
• Experience managing and analyzing large-scale omics or cheminformatics datasets.
• Proficient with bioinformatics tools and programming environments like Python, R, RDKit, and KNIME.
• Strong ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and effectively.
• Proven engagement in research blending biological, chemical, and data science disciplines.
