About the Role
This is a remote contract opportunity for an experienced biochemist to help improve AI systems used by leading research teams. The work focuses on applying strong scientific judgment to ensure model outputs in life sciences are accurate, logically sound, and safe.
The role is suited to someone with PhD-level training in biochemistry or a closely related discipline. You do not need prior AI experience; the emphasis is on deep subject matter expertise, careful analysis, and the ability to explain complex scientific ideas clearly.

What You Will Do
- Build difficult biochemistry questions that test AI performance across areas such as nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, structural biology, and drug-target interactions.
- Develop authoritative, step-by-step solutions that can be used as benchmark answers for advanced scientific reasoning.
- Review AI-generated content, including biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and mathematical reasoning, for accuracy, scientific correctness, and safety.
- Spot and document reasoning flaws, including errors in stoichiometry, stereochemistry, and enzyme mechanism interpretation, then provide structured feedback to help improve model quality.
Who You Are
- You hold a PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a similar field, or you are currently completing one.
- You bring strong expertise in one or more relevant areas such as structural biology, enzymology, cellular metabolism, genomics, or bioinformatics.
- You can turn highly technical biochemical ideas into clear, organized written explanations.
- You pay close attention to detail and are able to notice subtle scientific mistakes in equations, diagrams, and experimental procedures.
- No prior AI background is necessary.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to annotation, quality assurance, or evaluation workflows.
- Familiarity with tools such as PyMOL, AlphaFold, or BLAST.
- Experience in scientific writing, peer review, or technical editing.
