About the Role
Join John Sisk & Son Ltd, an international family-owned construction and engineering firm that impacts how communities live and connect through building infrastructure, rail, energy, and off-site manufacturing across Ireland, the UK, and Europe. This full-time, permanent position is based in Oranmore, County Galway, Ireland. As a seasoned BIM Manager, you will spearhead and support the development and management of a robust Digital Project Delivery (DPD) strategy from the preliminary contract phase through to project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the pre-construction team by analyzing tender documents such as Works Information and Employer’s Information Requirements (EIR) to determine Client BIM and digital demands.
- Conduct technical assessments on 3D BIM models at tender stages, including model federation, engineering validation, clash detection, logistics planning, and cost analysis.
- Contribute to the creation and delivery of project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEP), Model Information Delivery Plans (MIDP), and Model Production and Delivery Tables (MPDT), ensuring all stakeholders understand their roles.
- Co-lead the DPD kickoff meetings alongside the Information Manager to review and finalize the DPD approach with the project management team.
- Provide mentorship and support to BIM engineers as necessary.
Experience and Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience working on multi-disciplinary projects adhering to BIM Level 2 standards.
- Proven capability in producing BIM documentation is essential.
- Strong proficiency in written and verbal communication along with familiarity with MS Office applications.
- Hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit, cloud-based platforms such as Viewpoints for Projects or Dalux (or similar Common Data Environments), Synchro Pro, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Lumion, and other rendering tools.
- A university degree or equivalent third-level qualification in construction, computing, or a related field.
