Role Summary

We are seeking a passionate Barista to join our Food & Beverage team. This individual will be responsible for crafting and serving premium coffee and beverage offerings while ensuring each guest receives outstanding service and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, delivering personalized experiences for each guest.
• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, specialty drinks, and other non-alcoholic beverages according to Hyatt's recipes and presentation standards.
• Exhibit comprehensive product knowledge by suggesting beverages and menu pairings tailored to guest preferences and dietary needs.
• Highlight daily specials and seasonal drinks to boost guest satisfaction and support sales goals.
• Maintain consistent beverage quality and presentation aligned with Hyatt brand expectations.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitary conditions of the coffee station, equipment, and surrounding areas in compliance with food safety and HACCP guidelines.
• Operate, service, and calibrate coffee machines and related tools, promptly reporting maintenance requirements.
• Process orders and payments accurately using the Micros POS system, adhering to correct cashiering and cash handling protocols.
• Monitor inventory by assisting with stock control, rotations, restocking, and monthly audits of coffee supplies and other materials.
• Address guest questions, requests, and feedback professionally and efficiently.
• Collaborate with Kitchen, Housekeeping, and other departments to ensure seamless operations and enhance guest satisfaction.
• Provide support for hotel events, promotional activities, banquets, and Food & Beverage functions as needed.
• Keep up to date with coffee trends, brewing methods, and product knowledge via ongoing training and development.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct reflective of the Hyatt brand at all times.
• Contribute to sustainability initiatives by minimizing waste and promoting environmentally responsible practices.
• Encourage teamwork and foster cooperative relationships consistent with Hyatt's values.
• Assist with record-keeping, inventory documentation, and other administrative duties to maintain efficiency and compliance.
• Demonstrate flexibility by undertaking additional tasks and supporting other teams to meet operational and guest service demands.

Candidate Qualifications

• Previous experience as a barista in cafes, restaurants, hotels, or similar hospitality settings.
• Proficiency in coffee preparation techniques including espresso extraction, milk frothing, and crafting specialty beverages.
• Strong customer service orientation coupled with effective communication skills.
• Enthusiastic personality with excellent interpersonal capabilities.
• Able to thrive in fast-paced hospitality environments.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
• Good command of spoken English; proficiency in additional languages is beneficial.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
