Role Overview

We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join our Molecular Cell Biology Team located in Dungarvan, County Waterford. The position focuses on conducting quality control tests on pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical products to guarantee they meet established quality and safety benchmarks.

Main Responsibilities

• Execute routine and specialized analyses accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure timely completion of test documentation, maintaining compliance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
• Identify and suggest enhancements for quality and services; actively engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adhere strictly to GMP protocols and internal quality criteria, maintaining full documentation and traceability for all work.
• Contribute to Root Cause Analysis and generate Exception Reports as required.
• Develop expertise in specific tests and maintain updated training records.
• Train fellow team members on tests where competency is demonstrated.
• Provide operational support by covering for colleagues when necessary.
• Participate in weekend rotations, overtime work, and On-Call/Call-out duties.
• Ensure that customer requirements are fulfilled with a focus on service quality.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Degree in Molecular Cell Biology or a closely related scientific field.
• Minimum of two years experience performing Cell Based Potency assays within a GMP-regulated environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail with well-developed organizational and documentation skills.
• Strong grasp of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) principles.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
• High level of professionalism, quality awareness, and eagerness to learn.
• Proactive attitude, adaptable, and customer-centric approach.
• Excellent communication capabilities.
