Job Overview

The role involves overseeing the dispatch of goods efficiently to support the company's business objectives and acting as the deputy to the Transport Senior Supervisor during their absence.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and optimize daily utilization of resources, managing floor and delivery operations to enhance productivity.
• Schedule and route outgoing delivery trucks to maximize staff efficiency and fleet use, ensuring timely deliveries.
• Liaise with the TM CBD team and customer receiving staff to resolve delivery challenges and speed up offloading at customer sites.
• Maintain stock accuracy by verifying quantities loaded and received match order amounts, enabling accurate weekly cycle counts and inventory records.
• Confirm the quantity and condition of goods returned from trade against documents to prevent complaints and stock discrepancies.
• Collect payments, including cheques and cash, at delivery to comply with invoice payment terms.
• Ensure all invoices are promptly returned signed by customers on the day of delivery as proof.
• Guarantee that products loaded and offloaded meet quality standards and follow proper SOPs to avoid damage or returns.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing vehicles to ensure they meet Quality Assurance standards.
• Oversee regular training and performance evaluations of delivery personnel to maintain accuracy in picking and delivery processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Graduate in a relevant field or high school graduate with equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in fleet management.
• Strong understanding of Quality Assurance principles and their practical application.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
