Assistant Manager, Industrial Hygiene

Overview

The Assistant Manager for Industrial Hygiene at Nestlé Dubai Manufacturing LLC and Nestlé Middle East Manufacturing is responsible for leading and enhancing hygiene, sanitation, environmental monitoring, and pest control programs to uphold food safety, ensure regulatory adherence, and maintain the production of safe, high-quality products.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead and sustain factory hygiene, cleaning, and sanitation processes to meet food safety and quality standards.
• Manage environmental monitoring, microbiological verification, and hygiene inspections to detect and reduce contamination risks.
• Supervise pest control activities and implement corrective measures to uphold a hygienic manufacturing environment.
• Ensure proper execution of hygienic zoning, personnel hygiene practices, and contamination prevention controls.
• Perform hygiene audits, conduct trend analysis and root cause investigations, and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with standards such as FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, Halal certifications, and relevant regulatory requirements, maintaining audit readiness consistently.
• Provide training and coaching to staff and contractors on hygiene, sanitation, and food safety protocols.
• Promote continuous improvement endeavors that enhance food safety culture and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related field.
• Experience of 3 to 5 years in food manufacturing or hospitality sectors within the UAE.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food safety standards and regulations applicable in Dubai.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
