About the Role
Ocean Network Express is seeking an Assistant Manager for their Global Terminal Management Development team based in Singapore. This full-time, on-site position operates within the transportation, logistics, supply chain, and storage industries. The role focuses on investment feasibility studies, terminal portfolio evaluation, and managing strategic partnerships and investment projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility analyses for potential investments or long-term strategic partnerships with terminal operators.
- Review and evaluate existing terminal assets for consolidation or divestment opportunities.
- Manage the complete deal lifecycle including financial modeling, risk assessment, valuation, due diligence, deal structuring, and closure.
- Prepare expressions of interest and bidding documentation when required.
- Lead project management office activities and coordinate discussions involving regional organizations, corporate shared services such as Legal, Finance, and Tax departments, along with external consultants.
- Develop business plans and financial models for investment and divestment initiatives.
- Draft and scrutinize various legal agreements including joint venture, shareholder, and service agreements.
- Perform due diligence to validate information from prospective partners or acquisition targets.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or a closely related field is required.
- Preference is given to candidates with CFA certification or currently pursuing CFA designation.
- A minimum of 4 to 7 years’ experience in investment analysis and financial statement review is mandatory.
- Strong skills in financial modeling and analytical assessment are essential.
- Proficient understanding of M&A contract structures is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capable of working independently and maintaining performance under pressure and strict deadlines.
- Effective collaborative communication skills to manage multifaceted internal and external relationships.
- Negotiation and analytical ability of a high standard.
- Strong team player mentality.
- Experience in M&A execution related to infrastructure and logistics sectors will be advantageous.
- Applicants with greater relevant experience may be considered for senior positions.
