Assistant Collection Manager

Position Overview

We are looking for a proactive and skilled Assistant Collection Manager with at least two years of experience specializing in business loan collections. The role focuses on rigorous recovery efforts, especially managing accounts that are overdue by more than 90 days, including non-performing assets (NPA) and write-off cases.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform on-site visits to recover delayed payments on business loans, targeting accounts with Days Past Due exceeding 90.
• Oversee a portfolio of loan accounts, devising and implementing strategies for efficient debt recovery while complying with legal and company regulations.
• Foster positive borrower relationships to promote timely repayments and address any disputes or concerns.
• Maintain precise records by preparing daily collection reports and updating relevant systems accurately after visits.
• Communicate regularly with the Collections Manager, providing detailed updates on collection progress.
• Adhere strictly to company policies and industry standards throughout the debt collection processes.
• Utilize strong negotiation and persuasion techniques to secure repayment agreements from delinquent borrowers.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in business loan collections focused on challenging recoveries including NPAs and accounts with DPD over 90 days.
• Experience managing loans with ticket sizes of at least 700,000 to 1,000,000 INR.
• Must be a local resident due to the extensive fieldwork involved.
• Proficiency in English, Hindi, or the regional language is required.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and consistently achieve collection targets.
• Valid driver’s license and personal transportation for conducting field visits.
