Role Overview
The Galway Bay Hotel seeks an Assistant Bar Manager to support daily operations of the Bar department. This role involves welcoming guests, supervising service, leading the bar team, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences while boosting food and beverage profitability.

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and seat guests, ensuring the team delivers outstanding service that surpasses expectations.
- Adhere strictly to service standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain cash handling protocols and efficiently manage all stock items.
- Continuously train the team on product knowledge, menus, and hotel initiatives.
- Coach staff in upselling and customer service techniques to meet revenue targets.
- Promote hotel initiatives, special packages, and seasonal promotions.
- Engage guests to personalize their dining experience.
- Ensure team preparedness, knowledge, and compliance at all times.
- Oversee staff training and provide hands-on coaching as necessary.
- Foster team development through effective communication and performance discussions.
- Apply supervisory skills to maximize employee productivity and morale.
- Maintain impeccable standards of personal hygiene, dress, and professional conduct.
- Implement efficient staff rostering to optimize department operations.
- Update and enforce departmental SOPs consistently.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of managerial or supervisory experience within a 4-star hotel environment.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure with an energetic and customer-focused approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
