Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Asset Management Analyst to join the Finance team, reporting directly to the VP of Asset Management. This team blends real estate operational insight, transactional knowledge, and financial precision to enhance organizational decisions and workflows. This unique position offers direct involvement in managing and expanding a broad multi-state portfolio, from detailed modeling and market analysis to collaborating on investor relations and acquisition recommendations. It provides a high-impact opportunity with potential for growth and expanded responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and sustain financial models and decision-making frameworks that support field operations, home office strategy, portfolio management, and new investment evaluations.
Collaborate with operations teams to optimize expense management including data-driven recommendations on cost control.
Conduct rent-setting analyses using market comparables and model net operating income implications; work with field teams to implement rent changes accurately and on schedule.
Assess new markets and acquisition opportunities by analyzing market dynamics, competitive supply, and regulatory risks, creating investment memos and underwriting reports to support leadership and investor decision-making.
Monitor market and competitor benchmarks, including publicly traded real estate investment trusts (REITs), ensuring organizational data and assumptions remain precise and updated.
Prepare prominent presentations and reports for executive leadership, board meetings, and investor updates.
Assist in due diligence and capital allocation for new ventures and investments.
Engage in cross-functional initiatives and perform other tasks as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related disciplines.
1 to 3 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, or private equity.
In-depth knowledge of financial statements and their integration with profit/loss, balance sheet, and cash flow impacts.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including financial model development from the ground up.
Strong analytical writing abilities capable of producing clear, structured investment memos and market analyses, with a keen skill for identifying data deficiencies rather than masking them with assumptions.
Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to convey financial concepts effectively to non-finance stakeholders.
Self-driven and resourceful, with capacity to manage numerous priorities across multiple markets and portfolio projects in a fast-moving environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Background in real estate, particularly in multifamily or manufactured housing sectors.
Familiarity with valuation techniques such as IRR and NPV.
Knowledge of SQL or Python for data analysis.
Experience using enterprise software tools like Workday Adaptive Planning, Incorta, Tableau, or Power BI.

Team and Career Advancement

This role reports to the VP of Asset Management within a Finance team of approximately 10 members. It offers significant potential for advancement toward senior analyst or associate positions, deepening expertise in real estate finance and asset management.

Compensation

Annual salary ranges between $85,000 and $95,000, with an additional 10% bonus potential.
