ARCS Technician

Job Overview

The ARCS Technician role involves installing, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing access control and security systems, ensuring all equipment runs reliably and safely while meeting both company and client standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Install, set up, and maintain access control devices, CCTV cameras, intrusion alarms, and communication equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventive and unscheduled corrective maintenance on ARCS-related hardware.
• Diagnose and repair system malfunctions promptly to reduce downtime.
• Conduct commissioning, testing, and verify system performance post-installation.
• Interpret technical blueprints, wiring schematics, and installation documentation accurately.
• Ensure all installations adhere to safety regulations and project specifications.
• Keep detailed maintenance logs, service records, and documentation current.
• Assist in system upgrades, modifications, and infrastructural expansions as necessary.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and clients throughout installation and servicing tasks.
• Respond swiftly to emergency service calls and technical problems.
• Inspect equipment proactively to detect and prevent potential failures.
• Maintain proper usage and care of tools, testing gear, and company assets.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, IT, or relevant disciplines.
• Two to five years’ experience working with security systems, communication equipment, or technical maintenance.
• Practical knowledge of access control, CCTV, radio communication devices, and network infrastructure preferred.
• Familiarity with electrical and electronics troubleshooting methods.
• Ability to read and understand technical wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• Awareness of safety practices and compliance requirements.
