Aircraft Cleaner

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Aircraft Cleaner to join our team at London Gatwick Airport. This permanent part-time role involves working 20 hours per week on a schedule of 4 days on, 2 days off. The position demands a meticulous approach to cleaning and restocking aircraft to meet high customer standards, as well as performing thorough security inspections.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform internal cleaning duties on various aircraft including carpet vacuuming, wiping surfaces and equipment.
• Clean all seats, tray tables, seatback pockets, and replace any damaged magazines.
• Restock aircraft consumables and neatly fold and stow blankets and pillows in overhead compartments.
• Remove all rubbish from aircraft and ensure proper disposal adhering to safety guidelines.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team to maintain operational knowledge of aircraft and cleaning processes.
• Complete tasks within assigned timelines while strictly following company rules and procedures.
• Handle hazardous materials correctly, wearing required uniform and personal protective equipment such as safety vests and earplugs.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct towards colleagues, clients, and airport personnel.
• Consistently exceed company safety and customer service standards.
• Undertake additional duties as required.

• Report any risks or deficiencies in work systems or equipment that could impact service or safety.
• Use all equipment and PPE correctly according to training.
• Inform line managers of issues or training needs through appropriate channels.
