Role overview
TWYFORD INTERNATIONAL is seeking an Administration Manager to lead day-to-day administrative and logistics support for a manufacturing facility in Lusaka. The role is focused on keeping the plant’s office and living areas running smoothly so production can continue without disruption.
Key responsibilities
- Take charge of the factory’s daily administration and logistics, including canteen operations, staff dormitory oversight, cleaning, security, and greening, while maintaining proper order in both office and residential areas.
- Oversee the purchase, storage, issue, and stock tracking of administrative materials; formalize the material control process; limit admin spending carefully; and maintain accurate records.
- Carry out routine checks on water, electricity, fire safety equipment, and shared areas, and promptly address hazards. Coordinate with local service providers to resolve logistics issues and urgent breakdowns.
- Manage document circulation, file organization, meeting notes, and internal notices, while keeping administrative procedures orderly. Receive visitors and ensure controlled access to the factory premises.
- Work in coordination with production scheduling, complete additional administrative duties assigned by supervisors, and enforce company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or higher is required, preferably in Administration Management, Business Administration, or a similar discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in administration or logistics management within a manufacturing factory is needed; familiarity with plant administration processes is expected. Experience in the building materials or ceramic sector is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Zambian local laws, daily living practices, and labor habits, with the ability to work effectively on site.
- Strong English communication skills, along with solid coordination, problem-solving, attention to detail, responsibility, and execution capability.
- Comfortable using standard office software, with a stable work history and no adverse employment record, and willing to work long term at the factory location.
Additional information
This position requires full-time, on-site presence in Lusaka and involves supporting both operational and residential facility management for the factory.
