Position Overview
Heritage Family Credit Union is seeking a meticulous ACH Coordinator to act as the primary expert on Automated Clearing House (ACH) operations, ensuring precise processing, adherence to compliance standards, and effective risk management. This crucial back-office role collaborates closely with various internal teams to facilitate ACH operations, wire transfers, project involvement, and overall excellence in Deposit Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all ACH file processing including debits, credits, returns, and prenotes; perform daily imports, exports, balancing, and reconciliation.
- Handle Notifications of Change (NOCs), Death Notification Entries (DNEs), reclamations, and government-related ACH transactions.
- Oversee exception management such as unauthorized and administrative returns, account discrepancies, and irregular transaction reviews.
- Support internal department needs with payroll, loan payment, and vendor payment file management.
- Stay current on NACHA Operating Rules and related regulatory requirements.
- Monitor ACH transactions for irregularities, potential fraud, and compliance issues, escalating concerns as necessary.
- Assist with fraud investigations related to ACH, manage Regulation E workflows, and maintain necessary internal documentation.
- Participate in internal audits, regulatory examinations, and periodic reviews by preparing requisite reports and documentation.
- Serve as an internal resource on ACH guidelines, procedures, and system operations.
- Provide training to staff on ACH processing, exception handling, and system usage while enhancing operational workflows and controls.
- Assist with wire transfer processing in line with policies and regulations.
- Provide support via the department’s internal hotline, guiding branch and staff queries on operations.
- Contribute to credit union-wide projects including system upgrades, new product launches, workflow improvements, and audit remediation.
- Perform backup duties for Deposit Operations such as account maintenance, check processing, research, and other electronic payment tasks.

Compensation Details
The hourly wage ranges between $20.54 and $25.68.
