Role Overview
As an Account Manager, you will operate at either full-time or 0.8 FTE capacity, partnering closely with FMCG clients to provide data and insights consulting aligned with their business goals and growth strategies. Your responsibilities include leading client relationships, translating complex data into actionable insights that drive results, and managing initiatives centered around exceptional account management and service delivery. You will act as a trusted advisor, leveraging both commercial savvy and analytical expertise to influence decisions and deliver impactful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and execute detailed client Account Plans aimed at mutual growth for clients and Circana.
- Ensure sustained client satisfaction by proactively tackling challenges, spotting opportunities for expansion, and consistently delivering value; actively participate in regular client meetings focused on growth strategies and short-term work cycles.
- Identify and pursue avenues to broaden client relationships by aligning Circana's data and software solutions with strategic objectives.
- Convert intricate data findings into clear, actionable insights supporting informed client decisions and measurable achievements.
- Oversee all stages of the sales process including prospecting, understanding client needs, developing solutions, negotiating terms, and closing deals.
- Collaborate internally with teams such as Client Insights, Product, and Analytics to provide integrated solutions ensuring client success.
- Remain up-to-date with FMCG market trends and the broader macro environment to sustain Circana's position as a thought leader and trusted advisor, maintaining a high customer satisfaction score of 9+ on the CSAT survey.
- Establish and nurture strong strategic relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers within client organizations.
- Utilize Circana's proprietary sales platforms and tools (Unify+, Liquid Data, Intelligence Suite) to enhance client engagement and solution delivery.
- Meet or surpass personal and team revenue objectives through disciplined pipeline management and strategic account planning.
- Support additional Circana projects as directed by leadership.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Preferred tertiary qualification in Business, Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a comparable role within the FMCG industry.
- Exceptional client service capabilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to establish and manage professional relationships effectively.
- Robust commercial awareness and business development proficiency.
- Advanced analytical aptitude with the skill to narrate insights through data.
- Demonstrated planning skills with effective execution.
- Self-motivated with the capacity to influence and inspire others.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, notably Excel and PowerPoint.
