Role Overview

As a Yardhand, you will be essential to our operations by supporting our depot team to keep deliveries moving and ensure customers remain connected to their energy supply. Your duties will involve filling LPG cylinders, loading these safely onto vehicles and trailers, and overseeing bulk vessel filling activities, always prioritizing safety to meet regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate LPG cylinder filling processes adhering strictly to safety protocols and industry compliance.
• Manage stock levels of LPG cylinders to maintain efficient supply and demand flow for daily activities.
• Load and unload LPG cylinders onto vehicles and trailers, following secure stacking and handling guidelines.
• Comply with company health and safety procedures and HSE standards rigorously.
• Report workplace hazards and near misses to foster a proactive safety culture.
• Use appropriate manual handling techniques and lifting aids when dealing with heavy objects.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrates strong teamwork and initiative with an ability to multitask effectively ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
• Physically capable of handling heavy LPG cylinders safely.
• Committed to upholding health, safety, and wellbeing standards continuously.
• Communicates clearly and cooperatively with team members and customers.
• Experience with dangerous goods handling and a counterbalance forklift license desirable but not essential; training will be provided if needed.
• Possession of a full driving license is preferable but not mandatory.
