Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Yard Attendant to manage and maintain the outdoor yard area. This role suits someone who enjoys working outside, handling heavy machinery, and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely to unload materials including structural steel, engines, skids, and other equipment.
• Organize and stage materials promptly to support welders, machinists, and mechanics, ensuring they have resources when needed.
• Maintain yard cleanliness and safety by conducting snow removal in winter, grading during spring and summer, and controlling scrap throughout the year.
• Perform daily inspections on yard machinery and assist with general shop duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possess a valid forklift certification with a minimum of two years of operational experience.
• Hold a Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Be comfortable working outdoors in various Alberta weather conditions.
• Must have legal authorization to work in Canada.

Working Hours and Benefits

• Standard full-time schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with no weekend or shift rotations.
