Overview
This role is for a welder based in Brampton, Ontario. The work is carried out at the physical job site, so remote work is not available.
Language
English proficiency is required.
Education
A secondary school graduation certificate is required.
Experience
Applicants should have 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and apply welding process specifications accurately.
- Use manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated welding machinery.
- Inspect welds to confirm they comply with required standards and specifications.
- Work with manual and semi-automatic flame-cutting tools and equipment.
- Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal components.
- Use oxygen arc cutting equipment, including arc-air and AOC systems.
- Assess whether different materials can be welded.
- Handle hoisting and lifting equipment as needed.
- Run pre-set welding machines to build or repair metal parts and products.
- Operate pre-configured brazing or soldering machines to join metal or fill holes, seams, and indentations.
- Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.

Working conditions and physical demands: The job involves heavy lifting, physically demanding tasks, strong attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and long periods of standing.
Weight handling: You may need to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
