Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead our Uxbridge branch warehouse operations. This role demands a results-driven professional with extensive Freight Forwarding experience and thorough knowledge of regulatory standards such as CAA, GDP, Health & Safety, and customs bonded protocols. The manager will supervise assistant managers, supervisors, and warehouse operatives within a continuous 24/7 logistics environment to optimize efficiency and operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the senior operational team, providing guidance, fostering development, and encouraging high-performance collaboration.
- Support and work closely with a GDP Manager to ensure smooth operations.
- Oversee air and ocean import/export logistics, focusing on distribution and fulfillment optimization.
- Design and implement effective operational strategies.
- Ensure strict compliance with regulatory frameworks including CAA, GDP, health and safety laws, and customs-bonded conditions, maintaining all necessary documentation and audit readiness.
- Drive compliance initiatives and programs to uphold standards.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), diagnose inefficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
- Compile operational performance reports and prepare presentations using Excel and PowerPoint for stakeholders and customers.
- Champion continuous improvement by introducing best practices, leading quality and safety initiatives, and advancing technology implementations.
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing issues promptly and building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- 7 to 10 years of experience in warehouse management.
- Comprehensive understanding of air and ocean freight processes.
- Solid knowledge of regulatory compliance including CAA, Good Distribution Practice (GDP), and health and safety standards.
- Proven leadership ability with excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
