Role Overview
This full-time, on-site position is based in Maadi, Queensland, Australia. The Video Editor will turn raw footage into refined video content that supports brand stories and marketing initiatives. - Perform color correction and maintain visual continuity across projects.
- Adapt video content for different channels and formats while preserving brand consistency.
- Work with creative and marketing stakeholders to translate concepts into compelling visual narratives.
- Keep project folders, assets, and media libraries structured and easy to manage.
- Contribute ideas to improve visual quality and strengthen brand presentation.
- Ensure each deliverable aligns with Bydefine’s brand-building approach.
Qualifications
Applicants should bring hands-on editing experience and a strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating prior work. A diploma or degree in Film, Media, Visual Communication, or a similar discipline is preferred, though equivalent practical experience is also acceptable.
Technical and Creative Requirements
- Working knowledge of professional editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve, along with basic motion graphics software.
- Ability to tell stories visually through strong shot selection, pacing, and narrative flow in both short-form and long-form content.
- Experience with sound editing, music integration, voice-over placement, and graphic enhancement.
- Comfort creating content for social media, websites, presentations, and other digital formats.
- Understanding of brand strategy and marketing principles, with the ability to apply brand guidelines in video output.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach when working with internal teams or clients.
Additional Information
This role requires someone who can balance creativity with consistency, support evolving brand standards, and contribute to a team that values strategic thinking as much as execution.
