Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Vessel Logistics Supervisor to oversee the offshore marine logistics and vessel scheduling, supporting offshore operations effectively. This hands-on position involves collaborating closely with offshore teams, vessel crews, and shore base staff to guarantee the secure and efficient transit of personnel, equipment, and bulk materials.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage daily offshore logistics operations and coordinate vessel schedules.
- Act as the liaison between onshore and offshore parties to communicate and finalize vessel scheduling.
- Oversee bulk cargo logistics, including diesel, methanol, glycol, and deck cargo movements.
- Strategize bunkering and bulk transfer activities to optimize vessel operational efficiency.
- Organize vessel arrivals, departures, berthing, and loading with shore base coordination.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to plan cargo loading and unloading.
- Distribute approved schedules and necessary documentation to all stakeholders.
- Engage in daily operational planning meetings ensuring smooth logistics.
- Reconcile marine fuel paperwork and maintain precise records for audit compliance.
- Maintain accurate logistics data within logistics management software.
- Compile monthly reports on vessel lifts and tonnage metrics.
- Support audit processes, compliance protocols, and documentation upkeep.
- Provide occasional after-hours operational assistance as required.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in offshore logistics, marine operations, supply chain, or shore base management.
- Familiarity with vessel scheduling and offshore logistics processes.
- Knowledge of marine operational standards and compliance obligations.
- Understanding of inventory control and reconciliation practices.
- Effective communication skills with an ability to coordinate diverse stakeholder groups.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint at an intermediate level.
- Experience with logistics or marine management software such as Kabal is an advantage.
- Prior seagoing experience on offshore support vessels is preferred but not mandatory.
Additional Information
The applicant must have full working rights within Australia. This role requires proximity to the Victoria location as it is an onsite contract position.
