About the Role
Join the National GRIP (Graduate Research Innovation Programme), Singapore's premier deep tech venture creation platform, where scientific innovation meets entrepreneurship. As a Venture Architect, you will be instrumental in converting scientific breakthroughs into impactful startups that influence the future landscape.
Primary Responsibilities
- Guide startup teams from ideation through launch, assisting them in developing validated business models and overcoming practical challenges.
- Identify promising technologies and potential entrepreneurs within universities, establishing strategic collaborations throughout the innovation ecosystem.
- Bring market intelligence back to research labs to shape project directions and pinpoint viable commercial prospects.
- Collaborate closely with various units within NUS Enterprise to ensure a unified approach to venture creation and scaling.
- Support ventures within the GRIP program in areas such as fundraising, strategic recruitment, and acquiring key clients to build scalable enterprises.
- Provide founders with entrepreneurial expertise and strategic insights to excel in competitive markets.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a Master’s or PhD degree in science, engineering, or related disciplines.
- Have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in technology-driven businesses, including roles in company leadership, venture capital, or founding startups.
- Demonstrated firsthand experience working in startup environments; founder experience is highly advantageous.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the semiconductor or artificial intelligence sectors; experience in medical devices or climate tech is a plus.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and market dynamics.
- Excellent communications skills, both spoken and written, with strong influencing and negotiation abilities.
- Deep passion for innovation and entrepreneurship, accompanied by a readiness to take measured risks.
- Ability to flourish in a dynamic, fast-paced setting, quickly adapting to evolving challenges.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong commitment to ethical standards and integrity in business conduct.
