About the Position
Artisan Digital Pty Ltd is inviting applications for two full-time UI/UX Designer roles based in Mentone, Victoria. The designers will be integral members of our digital design team, focusing on crafting engaging, user-friendly web and digital product interfaces. The aim is to enhance user experience via intuitive interface design, effective navigation, thoughtful layout, and clear content communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to understand project goals, user requirements, and design limitations.
- Conduct research and analysis of user behavior, business objectives, and functional needs.
- Create web and digital product designs emphasizing usability, accessibility, responsive layouts, and effective navigation.
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, conceptual sketches, diagrams, layouts, and detailed design specifications.
- Design interface elements incorporating text, imagery, colors, typography, layouts, and interaction states.
- Produce prototypes and design concepts using tools like Figma.
- Engage with front-end technologies including JavaScript, React, HTML, and SASS for design implementation.
- Adhere to established design systems and guidelines such as Material Design, Fluent Design System, and Apple Human Interface Guidelines.
- Work closely with developers to ensure designs are practical, production-ready, and implemented accurately.
- Assist in browser testing, quality assurance of designs, documentation, and maintenance of design archives.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Formal tertiary education in Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Digital Design, Web Design, UX/UI Design, or related disciplines.
- Strong competencies in UI and UX design alongside proficiency in prototyping.
- Experience in designing interfaces for websites, web apps, digital products, or transactional online platforms.
- Expertise in using Figma or equivalent design and prototyping software.
- Hands-on experience with front-end development technologies such as JavaScript, React, HTML, and SASS.
- Knowledge of design systems, responsive design principles, accessibility standards, and browser testing procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with a track record of working effectively with clients, stakeholders, and software developers.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality designs within team settings.
- Legal entitlement to work full-time in Australia on a continuing basis.
Portfolio Submission
Applicants are required to provide a link to their portfolio demonstrating their best UI, UX, web design, or digital product design projects. Submission of a portfolio is mandatory.
