Role Overview
This full-time position is based at the Norwest Head Office in New South Wales. The Training Manager role is much more than delivering training; it's about enhancing learning, capability, and performance across Subaru's dealer network nationwide. Reporting to the Director of Network Development & Operations, the incumbent will design and implement engaging training programs aimed at improving product knowledge, consultative sales skills, customer engagement, and overall dealer performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training strategy to bolster product knowledge and sales capability aligned with Subaru's brand differentiation.
- Create and facilitate face-to-face, virtual, and e-learning sessions for both dealer and internal teams.
- Design learning pathways that optimize performance and fulfill manufacturer objectives across sales and customer-facing personnel.
- Manage and update training materials and activities within the Learning Management System.
- Conduct training needs assessments and develop annual learning plans that reflect business priorities.
- Lead initiatives including dealer network drive experiences, product launches, and capability enhancement projects.
- Assess training effectiveness and report insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Regional Field Representatives and the Network Development team to enhance dealer capability and ensure compliance with training standards.
- Establish trusted advisory relationships across the retail network concerning learning and development.
- Oversee training budgets and ensure compliance with all manufacturer and Inchcape policies.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in learning and development, training delivery, or capability building.
- Background in the automotive industry with a thorough understanding of dealership operations.
- Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various organizational levels.
- A passion for mentoring, coaching, and developing others.
- Strong organizational skills, adept at managing multiple priorities independently.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and e-learning platforms is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel as part of the role responsibilities.
