Overview
This is a full-time, fixed 12-month contract role based in Singapore with Societe Generale's Financing and Advisory Group specializing in project finance. The position offers comprehensive training covering diverse business areas such as technical capabilities, leadership, communication, client relations, and relationship management. Candidates should have completed their qualifications and be available full-time throughout the contract period.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying and originating potential new business opportunities, including development of marketing materials.
- Construct detailed financial models incorporating scenarios, sensitivity analyses, and asset valuations.
- Review transactional documents such as deal memorandums and financing agreements.
- Provide daily transaction support including credit application preparation, conducting thorough due diligence, risk assessment, and utilizing internal profitability and pricing models.
- Manage internal administrative tasks like updating databases, preparing briefing notes, and completing system processes to support advisory and financing deals.
- Ensure compliance with all internal procedures and regulatory guidelines related to transaction execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
- Prior work experience in structured or corporate finance within financial institutions is advantageous.
- Demonstrated skills in project finance modelling; candidates will undergo a project finance modelling assessment.
- Ability to perform financial forecasting and credit analysis accurately.
- Proficiency in reviewing and synthesizing financial and legal documentation.
- Keen interest in following industry trends and market developments in energy, telecom, media, and technology sectors across the Asia Pacific region.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex financial models and scenarios.
