Position Overview
The Territory Service Representative (TSR) in Operations is responsible for ensuring prompt pickups and deliveries of shipments within a designated territory, maintaining company standards of customer service, shipment safety, and operational discipline. This role acts as the company’s frontline representative, using mobile scanning devices to manage shipments, handle cash on delivery (COD) transactions, and maintain accurate delivery documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out pickups and deliveries timely within assigned routes meeting committed service timelines.
- Handle shipments carefully to avoid damage or loss and verify shipment details at each stage.
- Serve customers professionally and courteously, addressing basic queries and escalating issues when necessary.
- Manage COD payments accurately with prompt remittance and ensure proper documentation such as Proof of Delivery (POD).
- Utilize digital devices for shipment scanning and update shipment status in real time following Standard Operating Procedures.
- Comply with safety protocols, including road safety and wearing prescribed uniforms and safety equipment.
- Maintain and ensure roadworthiness of assigned or personal vehicles, keeping them clean and reporting issues promptly.
- Exhibit discipline through punctuality, grooming standards, and adherence to company policies, representing the Blue Dart brand positively.
- Collaborate effectively with shift leads and branch teams, participate in briefings, and support operational goals and contingencies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum educational qualification of 10th standard pass; higher education is advantageous.
- Open to freshers as well as candidates with up to two years of experience in courier, logistics, distribution, retail delivery, or field operations.
- Experience specifically in pickup and delivery is preferred.
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Must hold a valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving license.
- Own a two-wheeler if deployment requires use of a personal vehicle.
- Physically fit to perform duties involving field operations.
- Willingness to work across shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Skills and Competencies
- Proficient in managing pickup and delivery operations and shipment handling.
- Capable of cash handling and COD collection with documentation accuracy.
- Familiarity with mobile scanning devices and basic mobile/computer applications.
- Basic reading and understanding of English.
- Exhibits customer focus, integrity, reliability, safety awareness, teamwork, discipline, time management, accountability, positive attitude, and professional appearance.
