Job Overview
This role as a Temporary Staffing Administrator is unique and designed for someone who will excel and enjoy a dynamic administrative job. Based full time at Glan Clwyd Hospital, the role focuses on coordinating induction and training for all non-medical staff groups—including both new and existing workers—to equip them with the necessary skills to engage with the bank. Additionally, the role supports the delivery of comprehensive and efficient Temporary Staffing services throughout Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage induction and training schedules for non-medical staff to ensure competency and readiness.
- Provide all-encompassing Temporary Staffing support across all staff groups except medical personnel.
- Adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Handle diverse tasks such as setting up training sessions and shadow shifts, monitoring compliance, maintaining electronic records, verifying payroll data, and supporting bank and agency workers.
- Utilize multiple systems and prepare reports to support recruitment and staffing operations.
- Respond promptly to queries through phone, email, and face-to-face communication.
- Collaborate closely with local Temporary Staffing teams, People Services including Recruitment, E-Rostering, HR, and other related departments within BCUHB.

Person Specification
- Required qualifications include keyboard skills at RSA level 3 or equivalent, NVQ Level 3 or comparable experience, plus GCSE English or its equivalent.
- Preferred qualifications include ECDL certification.
- Essential experience involves working in busy office environments with frequent telephone inquiries, supporting junior team members, and ideally previous involvement in healthcare or nurse bank offices.
- Desirable experience includes coordinating training and development programmes.
Additional Information
The role demands excellent customer service skills, as interactions extend beyond staff to agencies, payroll, systems teams, clinical colleagues, educational institutions, and various community programmes. This position directly contributes to maintaining safe staffing levels that impact patient care and operational efficiency, while positively affecting staff employment and payroll experiences. Communication will be primarily via email, so candidates should monitor their accounts regularly.
Fluency in Welsh is desirable but not required; applications in Welsh are welcomed and will not be disadvantaged.
