Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technician II – Structures to join our Line Maintenance team at Riyadh Airport. In this role, you will directly engage in hands-on technical work, focusing on the inspection, maintenance, and repair of aircraft structural components, primarily composites. Your efforts will play a crucial part in upholding fleet safety and operational excellence.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth structural inspections on aircraft, identifying and diagnosing defects or discrepancies in real time.
- Carry out advanced composite repairs using approved techniques, including wet lay-up and prepreg methods, and operate hot bonders as required.
- Ensure all maintenance actions conform to GACA (and other relevant authority) regulations, as well as internal E&M procedures and safety standards.
- Utilize structural repair manuals efficiently to support accurate repair work and documentation.
- Collaborate actively with engineers and colleagues to provide expertise on structural integrity and resolve technical challenges.
- Maintain readiness during shift work, responding swiftly to line maintenance requirements as they arise.
- Coach and support less-experienced colleagues when necessary to uphold technical standards across the team.
Key Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Minimum of three years’ experience working in an aircraft maintenance environment, with at least two years dedicated specifically to composites and structural tasks.
- Valid Aircraft Maintenance Licence (GACA, FAA, EASA, or equivalent national aviation authority).
- Specialized certification for Boeing 787 Composite Repair Techniques.
- Demonstrated experience with structural repair manuals and proven record handling composite repairs on Boeing 787 series aircraft.
- Competency in wet lay-up, prepreg repairs, and hot bonder equipment.
- Ability to secure a police security clearance for access to airside operations.
