Job Overview
Join a collaborative team and advance your career with GMC Utilities Group as a Surveyor based in Dublin. This role focuses on performing comprehensive surveys of properties and public spaces before and after construction operations to ensure compliance and accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out initial condition surveys of private properties prior to construction to record existing states.
- Conduct pre-construction surveys of public infrastructure such as roads and footpaths to assess their conditions.
- Survey sites before reinstatement works to confirm surface conditions, materials, and footprint specifications for reinstatement accuracy.
- Perform post-reinstatement inspections to validate completed works, supporting payment claims and ensuring compliance for Road Opening License (ROL) closures.
- Research and document historical sites lacking photographic or measurement data to aid closure of past ROLs.
- Inspect and report on defects from ROL refusals, helping resolve outstanding issues efficiently.
- Maintain thorough records including photographic and written reports to support project management and regulatory adherence.
- Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations meticulously throughout surveying activities.
Candidate Requirements
- Valid full clean driving license is mandatory.
- Previous experience working as a surveyor within utilities, civil engineering, or related sectors.
- Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to document findings precisely.
- Excellent organization and time management capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within teams.
