Overview
The Supervisor for Slickline (B3) will coordinate, oversee, and execute field operations in strict compliance with company and client policies, regulatory standards, and best industry practices. This role ensures timely fulfillment of client requirements and supervises field operations staff to guarantee safe, efficient, and seamless activities. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring availability of personnel and equipment to perform wireline jobs as per contractual obligations with clients.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage selection and compatibility of wellhead X-Over equipment with the wellhead system.
- Ensure all operational measurements and calculations are accurately executed according to company procedures and standards.
- Conduct regular job briefings and debriefings with the supervisor to maintain operational coherence.
- Prepare electronic permits for work and ensure all related documentation is correct and timely.
- Ensure the accuracy and punctual submission of job reports to clients.
- Report daily to the supervisor regarding any shortage of tools, equipment deficiencies, or safety concerns.
- Maintain daily communication with clients to resolve operational issues.
- Perform site audits and provide documented feedback to base supervisors and field service engineers.
- Ensure all operational equipment complies with the required specifications.
- Verify that all cell equipment are inspected, certified, pressure tested, color-coded, and accompanied by appropriate documentation both onsite and at base.
- Confirm that all crew members hold valid HSE passports and have completed mandatory client-requested training before leaving the workshop.
- Maintain and monitor truck inventory and the wireline logbook accurately.
- Coordinate with the supervisor to handle scope of work and troubleshoot problems as they arise.
- Lead pre-job toolbox talks and carry out daily checklist follow-ups on-site.
- Manage permit to work issuance and allocation of safety equipment at job sites.
- Assess the skills of operators and helpers and provide constructive feedback.
- Prepare weekly activity reports and submit them to the supervisor.
- Adhere strictly to all applicable UAE laws, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling, and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification is required.
- Minimum of five years relevant field experience in rig and rigless operations, including at least two years in a supervisory capacity.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English is necessary.
- Strong computer literacy and skills are expected.
