Role Summary
This full-time, onsite role based in Harare involves providing expert counseling to prospective students and working professionals. The Student Counselor will guide clients through exploring educational options, selecting appropriate courses and universities, and understanding scholarship opportunities. Responsibilities include organizing counseling sessions, responding to queries, maintaining detailed student records, and following up on application progress.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct counseling sessions for prospective students and professionals to advise on course and university selection.
- Respond to inquiries promptly and maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress.
- Engage in follow-up communications to support applicants through enrollment and application steps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to update program and destination information continuously.
- Deliver presentations and workshops to groups where required to inform about educational opportunities.
- Participate in outreach initiatives and activities to advance Craydel's mission of equitable education access.
- Ensure excellent customer service throughout the counseling process to foster a positive client experience.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proficiency in Student and Career Counseling to help learners make well-informed academic and professional decisions.
- Strong communication and customer service capabilities to engage effectively with a diverse range of students, families, and education partners.
- Thorough understanding of educational systems and pathways, including familiarity with international study options.
- Organizational and time management skills to simultaneously handle multiple cases and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Relevant experience in student advising, educational consulting, or related areas is advantageous.
- A diploma or higher qualification in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Social Sciences, or similar fields is preferred.
- Must be able to work onsite in Harare, collaborate effectively within a team, and proficiently use digital tools.
