Job Summary
Himalayan Ridge Engineering Pvt. Ltd. invites applications for an experienced Structural Designer/Drafter skilled in Revit Structure. This role involves developing detailed structural models and drawings, ensuring project accuracy and quality, and collaborating with engineering teams to facilitate successful project delivery.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create detailed structural designs and drawings using Revit as per project specifications and standards.
- Manage drafting and modeling assignments independently with limited supervision.
- Collaborate closely with structural engineers and drafting colleagues to implement design intent accurately.
- Maintain and update Revit templates, families, and office drafting protocols.
- Conduct quality assurance and control reviews on models and drawings prepared by engineers.
- Address modeling conflicts, resolve detailing challenges, and assess constructability issues.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and adhere to tight deadlines.
- Support the technical lead and team leader in assigning tasks and balancing workload.
- Engage proactively in enhancing processes, boosting workflow efficiency, and optimizing BIM usage.
- Uphold company ethics, quality benchmarks, and core values consistently.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- At least 3 years of practical experience in structural drafting and modeling utilizing Revit Structure.
- Experience with US or international structural projects is highly desirable.
- Solid comprehension of structural engineering fundamentals such as load paths, framing techniques, and constructability principles.
- Proficient in developing and modifying Revit families, managing worksets, views, filters, and templates.
- Competency in AutoCAD, BIM coordination workflows, and adherence to drawing standards and QA/QC procedures.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Skilled in creating construction documents including plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules, and legends.
- Capable of producing precise 3D structural models using inputs from designs and markups for materials such as concrete, steel, and timber.
- Basic knowledge of building codes including NBC, IBC, AISC, ASCE, and ACI.
