Description de l'emploi
About the team
OpenAI’s enterprise go-to-market group supports large organizations in adopting and scaling the company’s AI platform across their businesses, including ChatGPT Enterprise, developer tools, and APIs.
The team works with clients in Financial Services, Life Sciences, and Retail to create AI-driven customer experiences, improve operations, and reshape work in highly regulated and technically demanding settings. As adoption grows through pilots, experimentation, and developer-led use cases, the GTM organization helps convert that traction into lasting enterprise-wide rollouts.
About the role
This position is intended to be a stepping stone for future sellers at OpenAI. It is a highly strategic role that offers broad exposure to enterprise sales, product, and customer strategy. You will build practical capability in discovery, stakeholder mapping, deal development, and executive communication while learning how major companies adopt AI.
The company is seeking candidates with 4-6+ years of professional experience who want to grow into top-tier enterprise sellers over time. Many people who succeed in this role later move into Account Director positions or other GTM roles, though advancement depends on performance and business needs rather than a set timeline.
For the right candidate, this is one of the fastest ways to build a sales career at OpenAI and establish a long-term path in AI go-to-market.
In this role, you will spot, shape, and move complex enterprise opportunities forward by converting product usage, pilots, and inbound interest into well-qualified, high-confidence opportunities for the Enterprise and Strategic Accounts teams.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Account Directors on account planning, multi-threading, and advancing deals.
- Develop and run focused outbound motions using industry insight, stakeholder analysis, and product signals to enter priority accounts.
- Conduct strong discovery conversations to identify business priorities, map decision makers, and evaluate enterprise readiness.
- Support pipeline reviews by bringing outbound activity updates, account intelligence, and early competitive observations.
- Help create and refine AI-powered GTM processes, including GPTs and agents, to improve prospecting and qualification at scale.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in enterprise sales or in strategic customer-facing roles within finance or consulting.
- A proven history of meeting and surpassing ambitious targets in enterprise or strategic sales settings.
- Experience selling into regulated or complex sectors such as Financial Services, Life Sciences, or Retail.
- Strong communication ability and executive presence, with the credibility to engage senior C-suite leaders and the fluency to speak with technical buyers.
- Clear interest in the AI space and the ability to translate OpenAI products into customer value and measurable business outcomes.
- Comfort with championing new technology and helping the market understand what can be achieved with it.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguity, move quickly, and take strong ownership of outcomes.
